Gala and Miles, design by Studio Klass

Gala and Miles are two new models designed by Studio Klass, a design and creative consultancy duo founded by Marco Maturo and Alessio Roscini.

“Gala and Miles originate from two different formal approaches, yet they share the same drive toward essentiality: an exercise in balancing identity and restraint, guided by the pursuit of formal purity,” explains Studio Klass. “In designing for Verum, we sought to translate the brand’s identity into two handles capable of enhancing its language while integrating naturally into various contexts.”

Gala stems from the idea of transforming the handle into an essential sign — discreet yet distinctive, a silent but functional presence. Its shape is built around a precise detail: the transition of its cross-section. From a round base, the handle evolves into a geometry that becomes more squared yet remains soft and controlled, inspired by the superellipse, which defines the terminal part dedicated to the grip. This subtle variation creates a harmonious balance between rigor and fluidity, resulting in a refined and elegant object.

Miles is inspired by a rational and measured design, favoring visual continuity and formal coherence. Miles is a recessed handle conceived to integrate seamlessly into the architecture of the door, becoming an integral part of it. The precisely calibrated hollow provides an ergonomic and comfortable grip while remaining flush with the surface. The result is an essential and versatile object, with simple and clean lines, capable of adapting elegantly to sliding or hinged doors while maintaining a coherent and delicate presence.
